Intensives

Sometimes, an hour a week doesn’t feel like enough. An intensive can give you the time and space to dive deeper.

You might like an intensive format if…

  • You want to really focus on a specific topic, and you know that you can’t get through it a shorter session. Intensives make it easier to complete a full piece of work. With IFS, this might look like an unburdening. With brainspotting, this might look like giving your brain and nervous system enough time to work through a full arc. With couples work, this might look like seeing a difficult conversations through to the end without needing to pack it up for next week.

  • Scheduling weekly sessions is hard, and it’s easier to block off a chunk of time, so you can really focus. Couples who need to work through a specific issue love this option.

  • You’re hoping to make progress quickly. Intensives can be more efficient because there’s less time spent settling in and wrapping up, among other benefits.

  • You love IFS and/or brainspotting, and you want to give your system a treat. At the very least, you should know that IFS/brainspotting works well for you. If these tools aren’t your jam, this will not be a good fit for your needs.

  • I also offer stepfamily intensives that are customized to meet the specific needs of stepfamilies because a little education and some preparation can make a big difference when you’re “blending,” navigating milestones, or just getting through the week. Learn more here.
